It is disgusting that the US Justice Department is trying to tell the public what the software should look like. There is a feeding frenzy of greedy egotistical lawyers trying to make a name for themselves by playing Robin Hood destroys the evil Bill Gates. Well Microsoft is not the evil empire that the self-righteous programmers would like to make them out to be. If Janet Reno doesn?t like her Internet Explorer Icon then she can use an Apple computer. Bill Gates only mistake was he gave the public a system that everyone can use. Not like the purist programmers who spend all their time arguing what the most efficient way to program a computer, instead, Microsoft gave us a system, standardized in the user interface across the majority of the software industry. Gone are the days where every program works differently, and they can coexist simultaneously without creating serious conflicts. Janet Reno will be long gone when we still are trying to endure computability conflicts. We can't sue Janet Reno, and the egotistical Judge's when they ruin the software industry. They seem to think they know better than the marketplace. We as a people have no way to fight these self-righteous crusaders. We can not vote them out of office, and we can not sue them to express our views. These social crusaders have no responsibility to the public's wishes. And these Linux users. Just let them use linux for awhile. They will be back crying for the microsoft environment when they see how messed up it will be.
